Delia

Delia is a 19 year old Thoroughbred/ Trakehner cross. She was bred in Pennsylvania primarily for show jumping. She retired from any strenuous work after contracting what is believed to be EPM, a  debilitating neurological disease.  She recovered, but since then has been used only for trail riding. She has always been close to her pasture mates and hates to be left alone. She likes attention but does have some ticklish spots under her belly”.

Drifter

Drifter (Drifts Cash) is a registered buckskin Quarter Horse who was born in May of 1999.  He was born in Texas on a ranch and then was relocated to Arizona where he was trained to be a roping horse.  He was purchased by Rebecca Carlson in August of 2006 in Arizona and has been with her ever since.  They did primarily trail riding together and Drifter has always been fantastic on the trails both alone and with other horses (and dogs and kids).  Drifter has been at Meadowcrest for almost 15 years and has enjoyed his time there.  His favorite things include being groomed and almost any kind of treat.  He has shown an aptitude for taking care of people who may need a little bit more TLC whether they are children or adults.  We are very excited to have in participate in the Courageous Strides program..

Harley
Harley is a registered quarter horse and was born in April 1999. For the majority of his life, he was a competitive show horse for the University of Findlay in Ohio. He began his retirement when he was acquired by Stony B Acres in 2017.  Deb Gordon took ownership of Harley in 2020 and that’s where the journey of healing began. Harley can be set in his own ways but with patience, he can feel the emotions behind each person. He loves treats, especially carrots as his diet has changed and loves to graze and sit quietly. Harley will be used for mounted instruction periodically.
